PVR Annual Swap Meet and Bike Show

Every January the Potomac Vintage Riders bring their annual gathering to the York, Pa fairgrounds and year after year this show continues to grow. Working as one, the AHRMA Mid Atlantic Cross Country Series teams up with the gang from the Mid Atlantic Vintage Bikes at the Broom Factory to put on this great off season event.

The bike show features some of the sweetest vintage iron on the planet.

Folks come from far and wide to find an old bike to restore or
those hard to find parts from days gone by.

The legend himself John Penton was on hand to sign autographs for show goers.

Womens Pro motocross racer Cheyenne McGuin was on hand to sign autographs as well.
She finished a solid third in her first year as a Pro.

My favorite street ride from the show - Brapp.
1984 Yamaha RZ350 - Liquid Cooled Two Stroke Street Banger.

Bob Litwin wins the People Choice Award
with his 1970 Hodaka Super Rat - 100cc 5 speed
Both Brad Lackey and Chuck Sun raced one back in the day.

Potomac Vintage Riders York Swap Meet and Bike Show - January 27th

PVR Press Release:

Hey everyone, the Potomac Vintage Riders York Swap Meet and Bike Show is only a few days away so it’s time to mark those calendars for this coming Sunday January 27th 2019.

The Swap Meet/Show runs from 8 -3:30 pm.
This will be the second year in the new UTZ Arena at the York, Pa Fair Grounds
which brings the swap meet and bike show under one roof.

The event attracts vendors from all over the East coast and Midwest and has grown into one of the biggest Swap Meet/Bike show events of the year.

The “Bike Show” organized by the Nick Taylor and the Broomworks crew attracts over 100 of the finest vintage motorcycles and is a huge crowd pleaser. The show is judged, awards custom trophies and also allows you to select the “People’s Choice Award” for best bike.

We will have Terry Cunningham as our guest this year to bench race with and sign autographs.  Terry is a four-time AMA Grand National Enduro Champion, ISDE Gold Medalist and AMA Hall of fame inductee.

Last year the swap meet committee recommended moving the “Bike Corral” to a separate area to showcase the vintage bikes for sale, this was a great success with easy access and less crowded viewing.

So whether you’re looking for parts to finish a restoration, a new project to start, purchase a finished gem or just meet up with old friends it’s all here under one roof, don’t miss it!!!!.

Hangover Harescramble at Budds Creek MX

The iconic Hangover Harescramble made its return this past weekend to Budds Creek after over a decade away thanks to Billy Schlag and his crew at Trail Pros. The Hangover has always been a staple in AMA District 7 and has been promoted at different venues by different promoters over the years.

598 entries would take to the track and woods at Budds Creek Motocross Park.

Schlag starting promoting the event a few years ago and this year decided it was time to get it back to its home base. Check out the short video recap below then scroll down to see some of this years action along with links to event photos and results from the day.
