More than 20 American Motorcyclist Association-sanctioned events on tap at 77th Annual Daytona Bike Week

 
PICKERINGTON, Ohio -- The 77th Annual Daytona Bike Week features American Motorcyclist Association-sanctioned events for riders, racers and motorcycle fans of all ages.
 
Bike Week runs from March 9 through March 18 in Daytona Beach, Fla. Those attending are encouraged to get involved in the many AMA events taking place during the week.
 
The 2018 AMA National Gypsy Tour, kicks off during Bike Week, with two locations for road riding enthusiasts to visit March 9 through March 17.
 
One spot is outside Daytona International Speedway and features this year's AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame raffle bike.
 
The second AMA National Gypsy Tour tent is on Beach Street near Riverfront Park, across from Indian Motorcycle Daytona Beach.
 
Both locations offer Bike Week attendees the opportunity to sign up for an AMA membership. Current AMA members may stop by either location to pick up a Gypsy Tour pin.
 
For those who want to get an early start on the action, Dixie Dual Sport has scheduled its 22nd Annual Devil's Creek ride for March 2-4, starting in Brooksville, Fla. For more information, visit www.dixiedualsport.com/devilscreek.

Friday, March 9
 
Round 1 of the AMA All-Star National Flat Track Series, an AMA featured series, at Oglethorpe Speedway Park in Pooler, Ga. The race features amateur and professional racers of all ages competing on a half-mile course. Visit www.stevenaceracing.com for more information.
 
Saturday, March 10
 
Oglethorpe Speedway Park hosts Round 1 of the 2018 AMA Daytona Bike Week Flat Track Championship Series, an AMA Major Event. The race is in conjunction with the first round of the 2018 AMA Vintage Dirt Track National Championship series. More information is available at www.stevenaceracing.com.
 
Round 1 of the 2018 AMA Vintage Dirt Track National Championship Series takes place at Oglethorpe Speedway Park, alongside the AMA Daytona Bike Week Flat Track Championship. This event features vintage motorcycles racing on a half-mile course. To learn more, visit the Dirt Track Racing page on www.americanmotorcyclist.com.
 
The Florida Trials Association Motorcycle Club Inc. is hosting a two-day observed trials at Hardrock Motorcycle Park, 6849 N.W. Gainesville Road, Ocala, Fla. More information is available at www.floridatrials.net.
 
The 2017 Grand National Cross Country Series, an AMA National Championship, begins its two-day event with off-road ATV racing on Saturday, March 10 in Palatka, Fla. For more information visit www.gnccracing.com.

Sunday, March 11
 
The AMA Organizer update meeting takes place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Residence Inn Daytona Beach Speedway/Airport. AMA Riding/Racing Program Development Manager Joe Bromley will be presenting and answering questions on a number of topics related to sanctioning, chartering and volunteering. Monday, March 12
 
AMA Board Chair Maggie McNally-Bradshaw will be a participant at the first Women in Racing Conference, hosted by MX Sports and Racer Productions. The event takes place in the Daytona International Speedway Pressroom from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a working lunch served. The goal of the one-day conference is to conduct an in-depth inventory and evaluation of the current women's racing programs and an examination of their performance. Professional racers from the AMA Pro ATV Motocross National Championship compete on the Supercross track inside the Daytona International Speedway on March 13 at the Daytona ATV Supercross. Amateur ATV Supercross racing is also included. Details on the amateur classes and other event information are available at www.atvmotocross.com.
Round 3 of the AMA Vintage Dirt Track National Championship Series will take place on the short track at Volusia Speedway Park. More information about this event is available on the Dirt Track Racing page at www.americanmotorcyclist.com.

Saturday, March 17
 
The 77th running of the world-famous Daytona 200 takes place at 1 p.m. at the Daytona International Speedway on March on 17. The 200-mile features both national and international racers competing on a 3.51-mile speedway/infield road course. For ticket information, go to www.daytonainternationalspeedway.com.
 
 
Sunday, March 18
 
The American Sportbike Racing Association and Championship Cup Series racers compete at Daytona International Speedway on March 18 in a variety of classes. For a full list of classes visit www.asraracing.com.
